OVERVIEW of the WORKING of INNER HEALING

Locate the Root Cause

There are many things hidden beneath the surface that keep us in bondage. Countless

Inner Healing is healing for deep-rooted hurt and emotional baggage of the soul (mind, will, and emotions) and the wounded heart. It is prayer and counsel, under the guidance of the   Holy Spirit, to deal with these issues  and do the work of Isaiah 61:1, healing broken hearts and setting captives free.

Re-establish Truth

God has put in place both spiritual and natural laws that govern our universe. Although we may not be aware of them, they apply to our lives. Love is the essential ingredient that fulfills all of these laws. As we renew our minds by re-establishing ourselves in the truth of His Word, understanding His laws, using the tools of love – forgiveness, mercy, and grace – and applying them to our root issues, those roots lose their power. Knowing the truth brings freedom. "And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free."  John 8:32 NKJV

Healing for the Wounded Heart!

Walk in Freedom

Through repentance, prayer, and counsel, the root cause of the problem is revealed and put to death on the cross. We re-establish truth and order resulting in freedom and restoration. Freedom from strongholds of the mind, freedom from ungodly behavior and habitual sin, freedom from broken relationships, and freedom in your area of need IS possible.  “If the Son, therefore, shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36 KJV

Moreover, if we are going to walk in the freedom and victory God intended for us to have, we are going to have to fight for it. The enemy will not willingly give up any ground. “And from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven suffers violence and the violent take it by force.” Matthew 11:12 NKJV

Difference Between Inner Healing and Deliverance

Deliverance is casting out demons (Mark 16:17). Unconfessed sin over time makes us accessible to demons. It is the door of access. "You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master" (Genesis 4:7 NLT).

Inner healing deals with sin through repentance and closes the door of access to the enemy.

While it is important to cast out demons, it is equally important, if not more so, to minister to emotional wounds. Emotional wounds are one of the most common reasons deliverance is not accomplished or demons seem to regain entry. Matthew 12:43-44

We say that inner healing is the foundation for deliverance because repentance and inner healing remove the enemy's legal ground or right of entry. The demon's legal ground is removed when a person comes to repentance, receives forgiveness, and deals with the root of their sin issues through inner healing.  Consequently, when the demon is cast out and tries to return, it finds no home to return to; his house has been dismantled and destroyed.

The tools of inner healing and deliverance go hand in hand. Both are essential and applied, as guided by the Holy Spirit, can accomplish a complete and lasting work.

individuals struggle consistently with rejection, fear, anger, shame, and other negative emotions but have no idea why they are there or what to do about them. We must get to the root of the problem before we can be set completely free. Inner healing is the tool used to guide individuals to the root cause of their issue led by the Holy Spirit, who guides the believer into all truth. John 16:13

"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound." Isaiah 61:1

Are you struggling with emotional wounds and baggage? Inner healing could be YOUR  ANSWER to freedom.

  • The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.                        Psalm 34:18 ESV
  • He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3 ESV

The ultimate goal of inner healing is healing, restoration, and reconciliation with God and others.  2 Corinthians 5:18; Malachi 4:5-6; Matthew 17:11

While deliverance kicks out demon squatters that come in when the door   of access is open; Inner healing closes the door by

dealing with the sin that opened it.  "Sin is crouching at the door..." Genesis 4:7 "Submit yourselves, then, to God.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." James 4:7
